Memorial Weekend

Saturday we decided to go to Salt Lake to get away for the weekend with the kids. We got there Saturday night and went to dinner with our friends Brad and Carly at Texas Roadhouse, LOVE THAT PLACE! I was worried about us all sleeping okay together in the same hotel room but the kids did great! Luckily they had a big walk in closet that was just perfect for Avery's pack-n-play, it was like her own little room. We went swimming the next morning then headed to Heber Valley Railroad to see Thomas the Train.

Jax was so excited to see the pictures of all the trains when you walk in, he was walking along telling us all of their names.

I love this picture of Jax checking out his new Thomas tatoo! He's just admiring it in the mirror!

We didn't leave Avery out, she got Rosie the Train on her cheek.

Here is Jax feeding the animals, he had a whole handfull of food that was gone in about 1/2 a second!

Me and the kids going on our Thomas ride (don't mind the food in our mouths!)

Jaxson's picture with Thomas, oh and the photographer didn't tell him to pose like that, that was his own move! He think's he is too cool!

Jax and Sir Topham Hatt.

Jax got his first cotton candy while we were there, yummy!
I thought he was going to be WIRED from the red cotton candy but he crashed as soon as we got in the car to go home.

Memorial Day we had breakfast in the park with my moms side of the family. After we ate we walked over to the Willow Park Zoo and saw the animals. They have a little snow cone shop right outside and so we all got a snow cone.

So I wasn't thinking the large would be the size of the statue of liberty torch but IT WAS! It was HUGE! I din't even get to the juicy part before I was full and had to throw it away. I should have just knocked off the top!

Avery just chilled in the stroller most of the time and took a nice long nap while we were looking at the animals, what a good girl!

Visit From Grandma Dicus

Deven's mom Debbie came to visit us for the first week and a half of May. We had SO much fun with her here, it went by so fast and before we knew it she had to go back home. We LOVED having her and were so glad she could come and visit. Here are a few pics from when she was here.

We went on an "ADVENTURE" as Jax refers to it, we walked on this path by the golf course than runs along the Logan River and it was so pretty!

Unfortunately we got rained on for a few minutes until the sun decided to come back out. That's Utah weather for you, random! Avery didn't seem to mind!

Isn't he so cute!

One of the days we met Deven for lunch at Mack Park in Smithfield and had a little picnic.

We also did a lot of shopping! Deven got his mom hooked on these coco covered almonds from Sam's and so she bought us like 7 cans and her 4 cans to ship home! Then she took some flavored honey from Cox Honeyland home to her co-workers and ended up having me ship 15 more to her after she got home cause they were such a hit! We also stocked her up on some hair product while she was here.
Dev and Jax flexing their muscles before bed. Aren't they handsome!

And we can't forget the crazy ice storm that broke out right in the middle of one of our MANY bbq's! Another random weather episode! The hail was hitting our house so hard it sounded like it was going to cave in!

Debbie put the crushed ice to use and made herself a diet pepsi slush, perfect! We had so much fun with her here and were so sad when it was over! Thanks for playing trains for countless hours with Jax and trying to show him that girls CAN play transformers! Also for the many nights of staying up late and playing games or listening to Dev narrate your books (you know what i'm talking about!) We are already looking forward to your next visit!

Graduation...FINALLY!!!

So Deven graduated, yay!!! I'm so proud of you babe! You have worked so hard and on top of school you've worked pretty much full-time and raised a family in the meantime! You mean the world to us, our kiddos and I love and appreciate you so much!

Doesn't he make a cute little graduate! Not for a while honey, you're stuck with mom for the next 15 years, AT LEAST!

A picture with the graduate anybody?

Dev's first hamburgers on his new grill, what a dork! We had a bbq in between his University and College ceremony's with friends and family, so fun! It was raining though, of course, and so we moved our little party into the garage.

Here is the kids wiped out after a whole day of fun, they were both so good to sit through all of that. It was too long even for me! Deven's mom came up for his graduation and stayed for a week after and we had such a great time with her here! I'll post some pics of that soon, my kids are sick AGAIN, so as you can imagine I don't have much time for blogging!
