Carbon Monoxide Scare

When I came home the other day our carbon monoxide detector was going off and so we had to call the fire department to come down and check it out. The levels in our house were a little high so we had to wait outside while they found out what was causing it. They thought it might be our furnace and so then we had to wait even longer for someone from the gas company to come test it. Anyways the firemen were there just hanging out waiting so one of them offered to take Jaxson on a tour of the fire engine. He was so excited!

He got to sit in the front seat and pretend he was driving the fire truck, talk about making his day!

The fireman was showing him how they spray the water and Jax just kept telling him, but there's no water coming out!

Everything ended up being fine, the carbon monoxide levels went down before they left and they said our furnace looked good but that our water heater was set a little to high for this altitude or something like that, Dev knows more about that than me! Our 911 call ended up being a really fun time for Jax!

DISNEYLAND

So we went to Disneyland last month and it was SO fun! My mom, sisters, and brothers went too. I LOVE DISNEYLAND, and of course so did Jaxson! My kids were both great considering we drove 32 hours round trip, I know CRAZY! I think Avery cried a total of 5 minutes the whole trip, she is an angel. And Jaxson did really good despite having to have benadryl to sleep (yes I drugged him) he WILL NOT sleep in the same room as someone else. We even left for Disneyland at 4 in the morning thinking he would go right back to sleep in the car, um no, he was ready for the day talking our ear off even at 4 AM!

There was so many great pictures I couldn't choose so here is a collage of some. Jaxson's favorite ride was the Buzz Lightyear ride. He thought it was so great to have his OWN astro blaster to shoot Zurg! Avery could go on pretty much every ride Jax went on and just sit on my lap, that was so great!

Avery was so fun, she was just go with the flow, like always! She would just hang out either in the stroller or the baby bjorn and look around then sleep when she was tired. I couldn't ask for a better baby!

Jax had a backpack leash which I love, it was a lifesaver (despite what you might think Carly :-)! He wanted to walk everywhere, he refused to sit in the stroller unless he was bribed with a sucker, and even that didn't work after the first couple of times. The last day when he had blisters on his feet he still would not sit in the stroller but somehow he suckered dad into carrying him on his shoulders.

Jaxson's 3rd Birthday

I have so many things to blog but we have been so busy and on top of that have had sick kiddos. So here is Jaxson's birthday, he turned 3 on January 31, he's getting so big! We had a Thomas the Train themed birthday, his choice of course! I made him a Thomas cake and he loved it! I was just glad it actually resembled Thomas when I was done!

This is Jax telling us how old he is now, I guess it's easier to hold your pointing finger down than your pinki.

He loves, loves, loves opening presents! I think he would probably be okay with just opening a bunch of empty boxes, okay maybe not. But with Christmas so close to his birthday I think opening presents starts to get to be kind of a normal thing, so now that his birthday is over he is kind of confused about why the presents have stopped. Also on his birthday anyone who would tell him Happy Birthday he would say Happy Birthday to you too. He'll catch on someday!

Okay so I figured out black frosting is NOT a great idea! IT STAINS EVERYTHING! His hands, my countertops, even his poop the next day!

Fun in the Snow

These pics were from December when we got our big snow storm I just haven't had a chance to post them until now so here they are. Jaxson loves to go out in the snow and completely cover himself with it! He just lays in it and rolls around, he especially loves to whitewash himself. Weird child, he never seems to get cold!

This is my igloo masterpiece in the front yard. I told Deven I was going to dig them out an igloo and he just kind of laughed. Well when he saw it he was very impressed! I don't think he was expecting it would be that good. HA
